Next Dish!

Made this sick as chicken Pie!
i cooked the chicken up with leeks, carrots, celery(i think, cant really remember), then added bit of flour, some white wine, water and milk. Added some herbs (pronounced: ERB's) somewhere along the line, then....
Something I've never seen or heard of before! but supposedly common, pfh! remove the skin from a thick as pork sausage and then roll the meat and stuff in it, into little balls (as shown in one of my pics). after browning the balls you just let them sit in between the chicken and leek stuff and the pastry! good times!
The pictures say a thousand words, so enjoy.
P.s. wicked company, had kyle, Simon, Betty, Ben and Becky and me :)

Cook Book time!

For my 21st The girls at the 'Dumpling' flat, Hannah, Bridget and Kara, gave me Jamie Oliver's cook book called Jamie's Dinners. I have decided to cook my way through the book with help from friends at not just the eating stage but at every stage (when i cook there are alot of stages).

By the way, i cant be assed putting up the recipes, but i will if anyone really wants it. you probably will when you see the photos.... owhyea!

So the first dish is a couscous and salmon salad-check it!

Chloe's 5cents

quick note from Chloe- do not add salt BEFORE you cook the eggs as it breaks them down and their not as nice and fluffy, (add salt after).
Dans little sidenote- I'm pretty sure salt actually breaks down the protein in egg (its why its used as a preservative) please correct me if I'm wrong...

Working at the Deli

So I work a couple of days a week at a deli in Greenwoods corner called PLONK, this morning I slept in so instead of opening at 7am I opened at 8am (writing this quickly before the owner literally kills me). I just got mama (our Chef) to make me breakfast, she said she make what she normally has....I thought I ate alot!!!!! bloody hell its insane, I swear there is half a box of cereal, all the fruits I need for the day (5) and enough yoghurt on top to look like Ruapehu after a massive snow fall! slowly making my way through it but never ever again will I ask her for breakfast! unless i've got my family over.

My Flat mates

I live with 3 Gorgeous girls in Mt Eden, Auckland, New Zealand. Betty, Caitlyn and Becky. So far they have proved very useful during my initial 'learning how to flat' stage.
Betty: very good at teaching me what buttons to push for a top-loader washing machine but not so good at reminding me that if water goes in it has to come out...
One week down! i may have flooded the laundry room and toilet twice, but i am now a washing genius!
Caitlyn: if there was a vege-master chef , she would win it hands down! she has taught me how to boil beans, steam beans, grill beans and use beans on any dish! 2 days ago she taught me how to cook scrambled eggs-its actually very simple : crack as many eggs as you want into a bowl, put milk in (normally a tablespoon per egg, just guess-it gets to messy pouring milk onto a spoon) season with freshly ground salt and pepper! oh and mayb herbs as well if you fancy-but i havent tried that yet!
Becky: She has taught me its ok to eat anything at anytime of the day, chocolate drops in the morning?! (Supposedly Doritos are perfect throughout the day and night and can be substituted for any of 3 daily meals).
sorry no pictures just yet.

First Flat

Welcome everyone or anyone who decides to read my blog!
I have decided to note down my escapades and adventures for interest sake, entertainment and obviously for the future when i become famous and people want to know what i was like and how i lived back in my humble young years.
p.s. i don't know how regular this will be because i can get lazy and over things (like blogging) easily. and the lack of internet at our flat doesn't help.
